Sonia’s focus with the We Win As One Foundation is on domestic violence rehabilitation and recovery, helping survivors rebuild their lives through empowerment, education, and access to essential resources. Her dedication to restoring dignity and fostering healing reflects the Foundation’s core mission of unity and growth.
She is also the wife of Dr. Fawad Ahmed, Founder of the We Win As One Foundation, and together they share a vision of transforming lives through compassion, opportunity, and leadership across Central Florida and beyond.
Shazia Akbar is a dedicated community advocate committed to social change and driven by a passion for human dignity and systemic reform. Her unique background, with dual Master’s degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy and Health Care Policy & Administration, informs an approach to service that is both deeply compassionate and focused on sustainable impact.
Her commitment is demonstrated through active board service. She currently serves on the board of Ethaar USA, a Georgia-based non-profit dedicated to helping refugees and underserved families achieve self-reliance. Her previous tenure on the U.S. board of the Manzil Educational Organization, a non-profit school dedicated to providing quality education to underprivileged children in Karachi, Pakistan, further showcases her long-standing dedication to empowering communities locally and globally.
Personally, Shazia is deeply engaged in interfaith dialogue and cultural exchange, reflecting her core belief in compassion and human connection.
Aisha Qarni is a project management professional working at a vision benefits company in Cincinnati, Ohio. With a strong foundation in healthcare, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration and later completed a Master’s in Public Health from Florida International University. Her educational background supports her work in managing health-focused initiatives and improving operational efficiency in the vision care sector.
Beyond her professional life, Aisha is passionate about exploring new cultures through food and travel. She is also deeply committed to nonprofit work, where she channels her skills and energy into causes that promote community well-being and equitable access to health services.
Jennifer Bohn is an award-winning educator who has dedicated her thirty-one-year career to serving students at an urban high school in Pine Hills. A native of Orlando, Florida, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Science Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.
Throughout her distinguished career, Jennifer has received numerous honors, including the Disney Teacherrific Award, District Teacher of the Year, State Teacher of the Year Finalist, and recognition as National Teacher of the Year by People Magazine. A passionate advocate for all children, Jennifer brings a wealth of leadership and experience in the educational arena. She believes that a strong education provides students with the foundation to rise above life’s challenges and create better futures.
Mrs. Bohn has served as a dedicated liaison between Maynard Evans High School and the We Win As One Foundation since its inception, helping to build meaningful connections and student-centered initiatives. In October 2025, she was appointed Director of Operations for the Foundation, expanding its reach and deepening its impact across Central Florida and beyond.
Leon Ashby is a Kansas City native who discovered his passion for film and media while growing up in Chicago, Illinois. He was selected for Northwestern University’s prestigious Film Cherub program, where he developed a love for storytelling through visual arts. A former student-athlete at Iowa State University, Leon earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and was a Ronald E. McNair Scholar, conducting a qualitative study on the portrayal of African Americans in television.
After moving to Orlando in 2006, he earned a second Bachelor’s in Film Studies and a Master’s in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University, where he received the Advanced Achievement Award for innovation and community service. With over 20 years of experience in multimedia and brand development, Leon has collaborated with organizations such as Orlando Health, United Way, and the National House of Hope, and helped launch the TECHquity program to bridge the digital divide in underserved communities.
Leon currently oversees the Reel Champ livestream fundraising platform, merging technology and storytelling to advance community impact. His passion for connecting professional athletes with nonprofit causes aligns perfectly with the mission of the We Win As One Foundation, where he continues to inspire and innovate.
Chris Terry is a proud graduate of Maynard Evans High School in Central Florida—the same school where the We Win As One Foundation concentrates its scholarship and grant initiatives. His journey from the Evans campus to leadership and philanthropy embodies the Foundation’s belief that education can open doors to opportunity and empowerment.
With a natural talent for networking and community engagement, Chris has built strong connections supportive of community service. He brings this unique ability to unite people and purpose to his role on the Board, helping the Foundation expand its reach and resources. Driven by a passion for education, mentorship, and service, Chris is committed to helping the next generation of students realize their potential and become leaders in their own communities.
Alejandra Borbón is a visionary creative director and designer whose talent lies in molding identity, narrative, and visual impact. As the original designer of the We Win As One Foundation logo and brand identity, she transformed the organization’s mission into a compelling visual language that resonates across Central Florida and beyond.
Her creative process is deeply collaborative and mission-driven: she listens, learns, and translates the stories of communities, students, and stakeholders into design elements that inspire, unify, and uplift. Alejandra’s thoughtful use of color, typography, and symbolism helps convey the Foundation’s values—hope, empowerment, unity—across digital, print, and experiential media. Alejandra’s artistry and dedication make her an essential bridge between vision and impact for We Win As One.
